Power Raiders story draft

The Power Raiders were from the Lost Galaxy, and minions-in-training under Captain Mutiny.  Then, when he followed Terra Venture and Trakeena took over, she used them to her cause.  But it didn't last long, as she was destroyed by the Galaxy Rangers.  These five young pirates grew hateful of the Power Rangers for taking their leaders from them and destroying their homes.  They banded together, building technology that could separate the Rangers from their powers and compat with them.

They reached Earth while the Warstarian Armada (to give them a name) was beginning their invasion.  The united army of all the Power Rangers fought bravely and drove the fleet back (for that time at least).  Then, the Raiders showed up and attacked the Rangers.  They tore through them and easily took them down, stealing their powers and manifesting them as keys.  Some retreated with the Megaforce Rangers back to Gosei's command center, but they weren't safe forever.  They were soon all taken down as well.

The Raiders felt they had their revenge, and prepared to leave.  But their ship was sabotaged by some Warstarian spies, and they couldn't leave the Earth's orbit (they could briefly go into space, still close to the planet, but not far enough to leave).  They were trapped on Earth left to deal with the Warstarians (Hey, ruthless villians.  Kill or die, y'know?).

Along the way, they met an alien from Andresia, who wanted to stop the Warstarians from destroying any more worlds, like they did his (Orion concept done better here, this version just used the Ranger powers he found to help get his wish).  The Raiders convinced him not to trust the Power Rangers, and to join them in their space pirate ways.

During their time on Earth, they started to realize (hearing the words of the Rangers, and what not) that they were doing wrongful things.  They began learning how evil their leaders actually were, and that they were blinded by greed and hate most of their lives.  (Character development happens here in some ways)

In the end, when their ship is fixed, Captain Red leads them into a final battle against the Armada (deciding to redeem himself).  They destroy Emperor Mavro (why not keep that name?) and are met by the Mega Rangers.  They comment with being glad the Raiders could see the truth, and thank them for saving them.  The Raiders instead thank them for helping them find the light inside of them.  They return the Ranger Keys to all their original owners, and depart for the far reaches of space on a journey in search of redemption.  Captain Red says he hopes that someday, all the Rangers will learn to forgive them.  Pink assures him there is hope for that.
